-Sing your heart out and don't give a thought to whose listening. Prairie Guy and I were stifling wide grins yesterday in church while The Rugrat (19 mo) sat on the pew with his hymnbook open upside down on his little lap singing gibberish in a loud and joyful noise during a non-worship part of the service. (granted, 5 minutes later he threw a screaming fit when The Hero tried to take the hymnbook from him)....
-Express yourself in your own words to the One who loves you and delights in your admiration. Prairie Guy and I got more than a little bug eyed and teary eyed when we went up to our room last night and found the following composition written by Prairie Girl (8).
-Give compliments freely and pass out those squeezes and hugs. My heart just melted this morning as I was hanging up my skirt from yesterday and The Hero (4) walked in and said; "Mommy, you look SO pretty in that skirt, you should wear it again." followed by a warm hug of my leg.
And we think WE'RE put here to teach THEM.
