Memories

If memories were sparrows and my soul a tree,IMG_1862my boughs would be laden with memories of thee;

and the Love that first sought me.

If memories were raindrops that pour down in May,IMG_4407each droplet would have something lovely to say;

of the Love that ransomed me.

If memories were snowflakes drifting down in December,IMG_0890each gentle flake would bid me remember

the Love that is waiting for me.

Prairie Chick.

Check out The Great Poem Caper at Seedlings in Stone for the idea behind this poem.

I love how you took it in new directions, letting the sparrows melt into snowflakes and rain.

Such a nice post. Thanks for stopping by my place. I think my daughter is beautiful. She is desperately looking for a job right now. She could use your prayers for that and for her trip to Afghanistan in the spring. You are such a sweetie. (o:

Hi there, Absolutely loved the poetry with the pictures-but don't I say that for almost all your posts. You're probably getting tired of hearing the same old thing but you are so gifted dear one and bring joy to my life. I am blessed because of you. Have a wonderful day!

I keep coming back to this. I've just read it again after seeing the link over at Ann's.

Such quiet, heartfelt words you've written here...

so beautiful to think of His love for us.

Thank you.
