A few days ago I wrote *THIS* over at the Schoolhouse. This evening I stumbled across the following video of John Piper. Here is my figurative contemporary Lincoln. Pray people. We have not because we ask not. We CAN change the world, by praying for God to soften hearts and bring common sense to the insanity. If people would have given up hope for change in the face of black oppression Obama would never have risen to presidency. If emancipation is possible, a change of heart about abortion is possible too. Prayer is our weapon, love our ammunition.

Wow. I have cried over this so often the last several days. This movie made me cry, too, but also reminded me of the hope we have.

I read his blog some and listened to this earlier in the week... it is good. Our pastor is a huge fan of Piper, reads lots of his works... he is deep and states it like it is!
Blessings!
I left you an award over on my blog.

Thanks, Nadine. I had seen that clip on Tom's blog shortly before the inauguration and heard it was supposed to be airing on some channels during the broadcasting... wonder if that was true or a rumor.... very powerful. I oscillate between hopeful and disheartened. I mean, the end will inevitably come right? And we know for a fact that it won't be pretty. But we must go down fighting.
He Dutchy,
I just saw the 'video' on your blog. A clear, powerfull, from the heart, spoken message. We all have a message from live and hope to tell but need the courage like Piper to proclame it. Even if we do not have te possibility to do it this way we can pray. And in prayer, true Gods power, we can change the world. Gr. René
Rene it is so nice to have you here and hear my old nickname from ship days. Thanks for your comment, it warmed my heart! You always challenge me, you were an instrumental person in shaping the person I have become cause you had the guts to challenge me. LOVE that. Miss you guys.
