I've Got Questions!

My turn! That means YOUR turn. It's been awhile since I did one of these. Answer any or all of the following questions. Lurkers, this means you too. Do you know what a lurker is? It's someone who reads a blog regularly but doesn't comment. I know who (some of) you are (insert mischievous grin here).

1. You win a one week all expense paid holiday anywhere in the world, where would you go?

2. You can be programmed to speak any language, which language would you learn?

3. Your husband takes you out for supper to the place of your choosing, what do you order (including drink and dessert)?

4. Your kids are being taken care of for the weekend. What do you choose to do?

5. You are stranded on a desert island for one year. You have one type of food, and one book of the bible. What food and which book would you hope for?

6. What store or commodity would you miss the most if you lived in a non-western culture?

7. If you had to limit your collection of literature, music and media to works by one author, one artist and one actor or actress who would you choose?

8. You have to spend the night locked in a public venue, where would you want it to be?

9. You win an extreme home makeover but only get to make ONE improvement to your home, what would it be?

10. You could trade one physical trait with the person of your choosing. Who would you pick and what would you trade?

And yes... I will answer my own questions, *if* you play nice and answer first.

1. I don't know - I really don't. I'd love to go ANYWHERE.

2. I would learn German - low German, so as to understand what my parents & Uncles and Aunts are saying when they don't want us to know what they're saying

3. If there was a really awesome Salmon dish, then that, but if not then probably a really awesome med-rare steak, and if I weren't with BGuy I would order wine, but since I am I would just have water (or Coke) and probably a cheesecake for dessert, unless they have a really great mud pie (can't beat ice cream, no matter how old I get...) and then a Starbucks stop on the way home...

4. I'm having heart palpitations...Edmonton?? A hotel?? A mountain biking weekend?? Snowboarding?? I'm dizzy just thinking of the possibilities...

5. Pepperoni pizza. And 1 John. Although, I will have a whole year...so...maybe something really meaty and big like Isaiah, or Hebrews...

6. I'd say Starbucks, unless I was in a European country because they're bound to have good cafes...otherwise The Gap...

7. Hemingway, Nickelback (so sorry), Robert Redford.

8. Chapters/Indigo - coffee AND books (bliss)

9. The basement - all new carpeting, and drywalled & painted (if "basement" counts as ONE improvement)

10. huh...what to pick...the *chest* of a girl who hasn't had babies (kidding) - I've always wanted Meg Ryan's hair (and face in general, but I've always loved her hair)

wow. Good list. Now I'll read everyone else's lists and think Crap! I should have thought of that...

1. You win a one week all expense paid holiday anywhere in the world, where would you go? Greece… I’m drawn to that gorgeous water.

2. You can be programmed to speak any language, which language would you learn? Spanish – I love to hear it, and I think it’s going to be one of the top languages in the world.

3. Your husband takes you out for supper to the place of your choosing, what do you order (including drink and dessert)? We'd go to Chianti’s and start with their spectacular Caesar salad, then to the Keg for their Bacon wrapped Filet Classic with Sweet Potato fries, then over to Moxie’s for their White Chocolate Brownie. (there’s a reason I capitalize it…. mmmmmmmmm) I’d have ice water with the salad, a white Zinfandel with the steak (I know, it should be red) and a strong coffee with the brownie.

4. Your kids are being taken care of for the weekend. What do you choose to do?
Stay up really late playing games with friends, cuddle in the morning with a hubby on a day off, go shopping, scrapbook with girlfriends whose kids are taken care of too and go to a play.

5. You are stranded on a desert island for one year. You have one type of food, and one book of the bible. What food and which book would you hope for? You say “type” of food, so I will say Mennonite food, since we make such yummy, filling and fattening foods… and even though there would be no one to use my tongue against in person, I’d still say James…. it’s such an “attitudes” book, and I’d need that.

6. What store or commodity would you miss the most if you lived in a non-western culture? Second-hand stores

7. If you had to limit your collection of literature, music and media to works by one author, one artist and one actor or actress who would you choose? Dr. Suess, Paul Simon and Owen Wilson

8. You have to spend the night locked in a public venue, where would you want it to be? Disneyland, of course!

9. You win an extreme home makeover but only get to make ONE improvement to your home, what would it be? My living room… with painted gyproc, new carpet… yay!

10. You could trade one physical trait with the person of your choosing. Who would you pick and what would you trade? I might pick my son Evan, and trade for his dreamy blue eyes and long lashes…. I could make serious headway with those babies.

4. Tough, stroll along the beach or hike in the mountains, or better yet go snow skiing.

6. I hear a nice toilet and toilet paper may be handy (from a friend who visited Vietnam).
7. Author: CS Lewis - lots of variety. Artists: ouch, so many, but Chris Tomlin - lots of worship. Actor/Actress: Kathrine Hepburn probably.

9. Windows - this 5th generation house is drafty.
10. Cathrine Zeda-Jones: she is beautiful but I love her hair, long and lovely.
