"If slavery is not wrong, nothing is wrong." Abraham Lincoln.
But lest we forget, injustice is injustice;
"While the North was free soil, it was hardly a paradise for blacks. Racial prejudice was a fact of every day life. Most Yankee states had enacted strict "black laws." In Illinois... blacks paid taxes but could not vote, hold political office, sit on juries, testify in court or attend school. They had a hard time finding jobs."
How quick we are to see the injustices practiced by others. How blind to our own. Remember, it was the "paying taxes without a right to vote" that was a huge motivation behind the american revolution out of which was birthed the Declaration of Independence. What of the adamant absolutism that "All men are created equal," and that all are entitled to "Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness."?
How ironic is it then that in the Dred Scott case of 1857, the court ruled that Congress had no power to prohibit slavery in any of the nation's territories, because that would violate property rights guaranteed by the self same Constitution. Scott was a slave who sued for his his freedom... The court declared that as a black man Scott was not and never had been a citizen. He was not entitled to the rights spelled out by the Declaration of Independence. Slaves were private property, the court said, and Congress could not pass laws depriving white citizens of "the right of property in a slave."
How flabbergasting, sobering and gut wrenching. What a bigoted, blind and depraved lot is this race we call humanity. And as it was then, so it is now. Just substitute the lives of precious babies of all races for the blacks and we are still facing the same stupidity and blind reasoning today as then. Lord have mercy. Raise up an Abraham Lincoln to fight for the life and liberty of precious children that are classified as "property" of a woman's body by our present preposterous policies.

Amen... it just breaks my heart... and so many people seem so blind to what is going on. Just the other day I was talking about it with someone I love and was taken aback at their stance on abortion... the deception of the enemy, the lack of conviction for moral issues, and the lack of seeking and knowing God and His Word... may God have mercy on our world, and may our world wake up before it is too late...
Wow. I was impressed with this post.
