Hyperbole

I think she’s got it.  I told her to draw a picture with an accompanying description, using hyperbole.  She drew a picture of a house in flames, and wrote underneath;

“The house burned with flames as hot as hell.”  Oh how these kids crack me up.  She really doesn’t have a clue that this kind of terminology is anything other than exactly what I asked for… hyperbole.
