Sea cucumbers are not the most fleet footed creatures on the sea bed. What they lack in speed they make up for in guts. Ho ho ho… I crack myself up. Did you know that when attacked Sea Cucumbers defend themselves by spilling their guts? Literally, they spit out their internal organs, which confuses and temporarily blinds the predator. Amazingly, the sea cucumber survives and the lost organs re-grow in a few weeks time.
The Scorpionfish on the other hand… what he’s lacking in comeliness makes up for it in camo. Seriously. I find it AMAZING how a creature can take on the tones and patterns of his surroundings. Freak of genetic engineering my foot. Miraculous creation fashioned by intelligent design. Studying biology is a form of worship for me. It puts me in a place of awe and amazement over the One who made this, and the One who holds this all together in the palm of His hand.

CAN YOU IMAGINE?? Someone comes up to mug you and you just spew your innards all over the place - yeah, that'd confuse them all right, and distract them...great strategy.
